Professional aerial silks
Looking for reliable equipment for high-level training, aerial studios, or stage performances? In this category, you will find professional aerial silks ranging from 10 to 20 meters in length, crafted from top-quality Polish knitted fabrics. We offer sets tailored to the demands of high ceilings, equipped with certified hardware and optional swivels.
To match your training style, we offer three specialized fabrics: the cushioned and versatile JUST, the wide and low-stretch MISTY, and the highly stable MAG, engineered for firm grip and dynamic drops. Calculate your required length using the formula: fabric length = 2 × rigging point height + 1 m margin.
Aerial Acrobatics Equipment for High Ceilings, Studios, and Stage
Outfitting a professional aerial dance studio or preparing props for live shows demands fabrics with high dynamic strength and hardware that ensures smooth movement. All our fabrics are produced in Poland, and our hardware comes from leading mountaineering manufacturers.
Aerial Silk Sets: With or Without a Swivel?
A standard professional set includes your chosen fabric, a figure-eight descender, and a carabiner. For advanced performers and studios, we also offer complete sets with a swivel. Adding a swivel to your suspension point prevents the fabric from twisting during dynamic rotational moves, enhancing comfort in the air and extending the lifespan of the fabric fibers.
Comparing Professional Fabrics: JUST, MISTY, and MAG
Choosing the right fabric depends on your training focus, height, and grip preferences:
- JUST (~150 cm wide): A medium-stretch fabric. Its elasticity and softness absorb dynamic drops effectively, reducing discomfort during tight wraps. It is the long-standing standard in Polish aerial schools.
- MISTY (~215 cm wide): A low-stretch fabric with minimal vertical give. Lightweight and extra-wide with a matte finish, it simplifies climbing and offers extensive coverage for wraps and poses.
- MAG (~150 cm wide): A dedicated professional low-stretch fabric. It does not stretch vertically (while maintaining slight transverse flexibility) and offers a firmer grip than JUST. It provides exceptional support and a secure grip for complex choreography at high altitudes.
Determining the Correct Length for Professional Silks
For high ceilings in gyms, studios, and venues, use this sizing formula:
Fabric length = 2 × rigging point height + 1 m
For instance, a venue with a 5-meter rigging point requires an 12-meter silk. Leaving extra material on the floor enables floor transitions and foot wraps, and allows you to shorten the rig by retying the knot at the descender if needed.
Safety and Durability for Group Classes
In high-use studio environments, regular inspection of hardware and fabric conditions is essential. Rigging hardware must only be anchored to certified structural points or dedicated aerial rigs designed to handle dynamic loads.
