Aerial silks for home
Looking to set up a safe space for practice and fun at home? In this category, you will find home aerial silks specially selected for children and beginners starting their aerial acrobatics journey. We primarily offer versatile 2-in-1 Full Sets, which can easily be configured as a traditional aerial silk or a comfortable hammock for relaxation.
Our fabrics are produced in Poland and paired with hardware from renowned mountaineering brands. To select the correct length, use our simple formula: fabric length = 2 × ceiling height + 1 m margin. The extra fabric resting on the floor allows for a wider variety of poses and provides an extra safety cushion.
How to Choose the Ideal Aerial Silk for Home Use
Selecting your first aerial set for a child's bedroom or a home training space doesn't have to be complicated. For home users, grip comfort, ease of learning basic moves, and set versatility are key.
2-in-1 Full Set – Why Is It the Best Choice for Kids and Beginners?
A Full Set includes your selected fabric length, a figure-eight, and a carabiner. This hardware arrangement allows you to change the rig setup effortlessly:
- As an Aerial Silk: The fabric drops down into two separate tails, allowing students to practice climbing, wraps, and foundational figures.
- As an Aerial Hammock: The fabric hangs in a single loop (cocoon), creating a comfortable swing where you or your children can rest, hide, or relax after training.
Which Fabric to Choose: JUST or MISTY?
Our home sets feature two proven knitted fabrics:
- JUST (~150 cm wide): A medium-stretch fabric. It is soft, dense, and elastic, providing excellent shock absorption and a comfortable touch against skin. Perfect for general home use.
- MISTY (~215 cm wide): A thin, lightweight, extra-wide fabric with low vertical stretch. Its generous width provides plenty of material to wrap around the body, while the low stretch significantly eases climbing for beginners.
How to Determine the Right Fabric Length for Your Room
Measure the distance from your ceiling attachment point to the floor, then apply this formula:
Fabric length = 2 × ceiling height + 1 m
For example, if your ceiling height is 2.5 meters, the correct choice is a 6-meter fabric. The additional meter of fabric is intentional. It prevents the set from hanging too high off the floor, and if needed, excess material can be adjusted by retying the knot at the suspension point.
Important Safety Guidelines for Home Rigging
Please note that any ceiling anchor point must be rated for dynamic loads. The high strength of our fabrics and climbing hardware must always be matched with secure installation into a structural support (such as solid concrete or structural timber beams). Never attach rigging hardware to drywall or plasterboard ceilings. Children should always practice under adult supervision.
