Aerial Silks hook - a special "hanger" for an aerial silks
Aerial Silks Hook - Professional Hook for Aerial Silks
We present an elegant and top-quality hook for rigging aerial silks. Its well-thought-out design is not only functional but also visually attractive, making it a perfect addition to any aerial dance studio or performance space.
Durability and Elegant Design If you are looking for a reliable and stylish way to rig your silks, our hook is the ideal choice. It is made of high-quality steel and finished with a smooth, black matte coating, which makes it look excellent and ensures it is incredibly durable.
Solid and Secure Rigging The wide, rounded profile of the hook is designed to evenly distribute the load across the entire width of the fabric. This prevents excessive wear and tear on the fabric in a single spot, which significantly extends the lifespan and durability of your silks! The hook's Working Load Limit (WLL) is 300 kg, which ensures full safety during training.
Ease of Use and Versatility The hook's design allows for a perfect separation of the two fabric tails, which is crucial for many figures. Tying knots is simpler and safer for the fabric than when using a figure 8 descender. The most popular and easiest knots to tie are the Prusik hitch and the Clove Hitch. The hook is also great for rigging two different colored fabrics together.

A very safe and convenient way to hang an aerial silk. The Aerial Silks Hook is extremely durable and elegant. It allows you to rig the silk in a way that makes it easy to find its center and separate the two tails during training. This is a very good solution for hanging a silk in a club, school, or for shows. Its relatively small size and weight also make it possible to travel and rig the silk outdoors with the help of the Aerial Silks Hook.
Durability and Extending the Life of Your Silk A silk hung on an Aerial Silks Hook arranges itself properly across the entire width of the bottom bar. This allows it to better handle the loads generated during training. As a result, the fabric does not "burn out" and can be used for longer than, for example, silks that are hung directly on a carabiner (which is improper rigging!). The breaking strength of the Aerial Silks Hook is over 60kN.
Aerial Silks hook allows you to hang the silks in two ways:
Prusik hitch

These are the instructions for the first picture you sent (prusik-cloche-flat-400x600.jpg).
-
Find the center of the fabric and mark it with tape. You can also twist the fabric to make it easier to handle.
-
Feed the fabric, folded in half, through the loop of the hook.
-
Bring the center of the fabric behind the "bell" of the hook.
-
Bring the folded center of the fabric forward, between the two hanging tails.
-
Feed the center back through the "loop" of the hook, leaving about 20 cm of space.
-
Open this space and pull it over the "bell" of the hook.
-
Set the knot by pulling on both tails of the fabric and the loop of the hook.

Clove Hitch

These are the instructions for the second picture (clove-hitch-cloche-flat-400x597.jpg).
-
Mark the center and the end of the fabric with tape.
-
Pass the end of the fabric through the loop of the hook and pull an arm's length to the side.
-
Bring the end to the front of the hook and pass it through the loop again, laying it over the existing fabric.
-
Bring the end back to the front around the "bell" of the hook and feed it through the loop formed in the previous step.
-
Pull the rest of the fabric through, repeating the steps, until the center of the fabric is sitting neatly on the knot.
-
Tidy up the loops, making sure they are sitting evenly over the ends of the "bell".
-
Set the knot by pulling on both tails of the fabric and the top of the hook at the same time.
