FIXE steel oval carabiner with a twist lock
Carabiner made by a reputed Spanish company FIXE. Its relatively small size prevents the “waste of height” for rigging of 7 m hammocks or silks.
It is small but wide enough to attach 1 hammock knot.
This is why we recommend buying 2 carabiners for 7 m hammocks or to buy 2 carabiniers for NATURAL hammocks and fabric.
This carabiner is most certainly also suitable for hammocks of all lengths rigged at two rigging points.
It is simple screw - locking. To close it screw the gate. Always put Your screwinf down (towards the floor).

Mailon - small carabinier
Maillon maillon rapide or link - a metal ring similar to a carabiner. The maillon has a threaded lock. This makes it more durable but harder to use. They are more versatile than carabiners because their various shapes and lack of an opening lock allow them to be loaded in many directions. The lock has a tightening thread that allows it to be closed permanently with a key. Maillons are made of steel and are much cheaper than carabiners of similar strength made of aluminum.
