The device is usually used for slides or for belay purposes.
In aerial dance it is perfect as an element to rig the silks.
The fabric folded in half can be easily and safely threaded through the lower (larger) ear of the aerial 8.
The upper (smaller) ear is a place to attach the carabiner and thus rig the silks to the rigging point.
