Description

Hang a hammock on the beam at home, a simple solution!

Open sling - sling, strap, lanyard - many names and one simple solution! If you have a beam at home that you can surround, then with this loop you will make a suspension point.

How to do it?

In the photo you can see a beam is secured with a piece of fabric.

You attach a carabiner / carabiners with an aerial silks or a hammock to the loop.

The photo shows an example of a 2-point suspension (like a swing), but you can also suspend a hammock on 1 point, like aerial silks.

The photo also shows the daisy chain - it is an optional element that allows you to change the height of the hammock.

Loops to choose from:

How to calculate the length of the loop:

Measure the circumference of the beam (add up the side lengths) or, if the beam is round, calculate the radius.

For example, if the sum of the sides is: (20 + 10 + 20 + 10 = 60cm) then you need at least 65cm loop - to be able to attach a carabiner to it.

Remember that the loops can also be wrapped twice around the beam - so if your beam has a circumference of 35cm, you can order a 80cm loop and wrap it twice around the beam so that the hammock is as high as possible.

If your beam is very high under the ceiling, you can order a longer loop, wrap it once and that way the hammock will hang a little lower.

The OPEN SLING loop is a special polyamide tape, sewn together.

Seams are tested according to standards.

Despite its inconspicuous appearance, it is very durable and safe.

It can be used as a station loop on a beam / truss.
