Description

Rope, pulley and 2 carabiners - how to quickly and easily change the prop or its height?

Do you have a structure or other place where you want to hang an aerial silks or aerial hoop  BUT you don't want to leave props overnight? Or after training on silks, do you want to exercise on hoop, but you don't want to climb a ladder to change prop?

You don't have to any more;)

All you need is our "rig pulley set"!

The system includes:

-selected length (meters) of a static rope, 10.5 mm in diameter, black

- 1 pulley

- 2 carabiners

How to use the "system"?

For Aerial Rig:

1. While mounting the structure, when the structure is still low, attach the pulley (with one of the carabiniers) to the hook with a carabiner. A rope passes through the pulley.

At the first end of the rope we hang the prop, the other end of the rope is fastened with a carabiner to the clamp on the leg - for this purpose, we tie a knot on the rope (preferably with an eighth knot - photos on how to do it can be found in the product photos).

We will determine the place where the figure eight knot will be created after the construction is set up.

Attention! when setting up the rig make sure that no end of the rope "escapes" through the pulley.

It's best to connect its ends together.

For outdoor / house / tree hanging point ....

Attach a carabiner with a pulley to the hook in the ceiling, clamp, loop / belt.

A rope passes through the pulley.

At the first end of the rope we hang the prop, the other end of the rope is attached to a strong point, e.g. a special mount in the wall / floor; a tree trunk or a durable structural element of a building - for this purpose, we tie a knot on the rope (preferably with an eight knot - photos on how to do this can be found in the product photos).

We pull the prop to the desired height (like a flag on a pole).

After determining the height of the prop, we tie a figure eight on a rope and attach it to a carabiner that connects our rope with a strong point on the ground / floor / wall / trunk.

Technical details of the system components:

TENDON STATIC ROPE
A high-quality static rope with low elongation and high breaking strength.

Pulley
A pulley used on soft ropes with a diameter of up to 13 mm.
Maximum rope thickness: up to 13 mm
Strength: 5 / 2.5 / 2.5 kN

Breaking force: 23kN

Weight: 90g
Standard: EN 12278

CARABINIER Oval, steel (2 pieces)
Oval steel carabiner with a twist lock.

The symmetrical shape predisposes this carabiner to be used in pulley hoisting systems.
Longitudinal strength: 23 kN

How long can you use a rope:

With intensive daily use: 1-2 years. With occasional use, for example, only during the summer season: 2-3 years. Occasional use, for example, 2-5 times a month: 3-5 years. If the rope is not used, it can last up to a maximum of 10 years. However, remember that the lifespan of the rope is also influenced by other factors, such as weather conditions and temperature. Be careful with sharp edges if you are hanging from structural elements or rocks. Never use the rope if it has experienced a severe fall. Inspect the rope at least once a year - the inspection can be performed by the manufacturer or by authorized personnel.

Additional information:

Leaving climbing gear, such as carabiners and pulleys, outdoors for an extended period, including the entire summer season, can affect their condition and safety.

  1. Corrosion and Rust: Even high-quality stainless steel or aluminum gear can corrode if exposed to prolonged moisture, rain, and dew. Carabiners and pulleys can rust, which weakens their strength and can lead to failure.

  2. UV Radiation: Prolonged exposure to sunlight (UV) can degrade synthetic materials used in some carabiners and pulleys. While metal parts are less susceptible to UV damage, plastic and rubber components (such as gate mechanisms or seals) can deteriorate.

  3. Temperature: Extreme temperatures can affect the strength of gear materials. Very high temperatures can weaken metal, while low temperatures can make the material brittle.

  4. Dirt and Contaminants: Gear left outside can accumulate dirt, dust, sand, and other contaminants, which can affect the mechanisms of gate closures and pulley wheels. Contaminants can cause malfunction or jamming.

  5. Manufacturer Guidelines: Always check the manufacturer's recommendations for storage and maintenance of gear. Some manufacturers may have specific guidelines for protecting gear from weather conditions.

  6. Regular Inspection: Before using gear that has been left outside, a thorough inspection is necessary. Check for visible signs of corrosion, cracks, jams, or other damage.

For safety, it's best to store climbing gear in a dry, cool, and shaded place when not in use. If you must store gear outdoors for an extended period, consider using protective covers or sheltering it in some type of enclosed container.

In practice, you can leave the height adjustment system outdoors for an entire season, but you need to inspect it thoroughly. If any of the aforementioned issues occur, it is best to replace it with a new one.
