Ceiling hook durable for brick concrete and reinforced concrete

The strength of the hook and sleeve depends on the correct use of the resin - read the instructions on the packaging before installation!

Anchoring mortar - 1 package

Hook 12mm in diameter 120mm in length - 2 pieces

(1 hook is enough for a silks hammocks - can be on 1 or 2 hooks)

How to install a hook in the ceiling?

1. We choose a place and check where we will rig the equipment:

The ceiling is brick reinforced concrete:

We choose the place where the acrobatic equipment is to be rigged.

The ceiling should be made of durable material (concrete reinforced concrete brick).

During exercises especially during dynamic falls on the silks loads of 12 times the exerciser's body weight are created (60 kg of weight * 12 = 720 kg).

Do not hang equipment in suspended ceilings plasterboard ceilings or in tenement houses where straw and shavings "fly" from the ceiling!

Structural beam:

If there are structural beams in the room we can install a place to hang equipment around them.

We can of course install a hook in the beam but a stand made of certified durable tape protected against abrasion is faster and easier to install.

Door frame:
We can also hang a short hammock (5 m) in the door frame (like a children's swing).

This solution is used in rooms where the ceiling is not durable (suspended ceiling and inability to access the real ceiling or ceiling in old tenement houses).

2. Exercise space:

It is a good idea to install the hook in such a way that you have free space to exercise.

If we assume that the hook is located in the center of the circle the diameter of the circle should be at least 150 cm (radius approx. 75 cm).

If possible it is good to have a circle area of 2 m in diameter.

Hammock with 2 hooks - what is the distance between the hooks?

We assume shoulder/hip width. Typically this is a distance between 55 cm and 65 cm.

For a child it may be 55 cm for an adult 60-65 cm.

Sometimes some people prefer a "wider" hammock and choose a spacing of 65 cm.

Remember! If you have a hammock with 2 points provide yourself with space in front and behind the hammock - just like for a swing. You can then be closer to the wall (min 80 cm) because the hammock will swing front to back and side to side less.

If you have a lot of space remember that if you have 2 points you can always hang the hammock on 1 hook and see what it's like to exercise on 1 hook;)

3. Installation:

We follow the instructions!
Always consult an experienced professional to determine whether the ceiling or beam to which you intend to attach the anchor point is durable.

We drill a hole clean it insert the sleeve and inject the resin.

Before injecting the resin squeeze the first 10-15 cm of resin onto a newspaper. This is a very important procedure because at the beginning the resin must be mixed in the dispenser and only after 10-15 cm this process takes place.

If we immediately push the resin into the hole the unmixed resin will not fulfill its function and our suspension will not withstand the overloads during training.

Insert the hook and wait until the resin dries (according to the instructions on the packaging).

Only after this time can we hang the equipment and start training.
